Mardi Gras 2025
A TIME OF "MERRIMAKING AND FESTIVITY"
The perfect theme for a room full of rug hookers sharing a day of creativity, reunion, new friendships, and shopping. Please consider participating in our Mardi Gras themed mat challenge.
Mardi Gras Mat (MASK) Challenge
Let's get creative. For this challenge the only requirement is to create a "hooked" mask to celebrate Mardi Gras.
This challenge is a perfect opportunity to get creative with embellishments and alternate materials. There are no size or material requirements. You can create a simple mat or get creative by actually producing a mask. It has been suggested to use a "base" mask for your creation. These masks can me purchased at stores like Party City or on Amazon.
If you enter the challenge and donate 1/8th yard of wool, you will also receive $10.00 in Vendor Bucks to use with any of our vendors only on the day of the hook-in.
Each attendee will receive a "ballot" to vote for your favorite entry.
