We all had a great time and we're already looking forward to our 2027 event.  Next year's challenge mat will be to use the hex sign theme. If you attended this years event you should have received a pattern and random piece of wool to incorporate into your mat.
Keep checking the website for more information on the 2027 Hookin.
The day begins with the rush of participants (from 9 states) anxious to start the day!
81 beautiful rugs on display - al little something of everything - commercial patterns, self designed rugs, rug hooking, punch, primitive, fine shading, pillows, rugs, and creativity.
The Challenge Mat theme this year was a tulip pattern that participants could modify and "make it their own",  Creativity was on display with the unique ideas of those entering.
We shopped until we dropped.  10 FABULOUS vendors: Just Be You Studio * Wool N Gardner * The Wool Studio * The Spotted Cur * Goat Hill Designs * Baskets by Dianne Pearce * Check Mate Farm * Fluff and Peach Bean * The Bee and the Bear * Wooly Die Works
Ask a Hooker?  Sue was busy all day with folks new and experienced visiting the Ask a Hooker area.

But most fun of all was connecting with old friends and new.  Hooking, chatting, laughing, hooking, chatting, laughing, hooking,........

Plans for the 2026 Hookin are well underway. We have commitments from many of your favorite vendors for this years event.  Registration will be opened on January 1.  Registration forms will be on the Woolwrights website and forms will be emailed to anyone who has attended our hookin in the past few years.  Please encourage your rug hooking friends - especially those new folks in your guilds, for a fun day of hooking, shopping, laughing, and meeting new friends.
Our challenge mat this year will be Tulips.  The pattern was handed out to those who attended last years event and is posted below.  Size of your mat is your choice.  Be creative, get outside your box, join the fun and competition.
