The Woolwrights, ATHA Chapter 110, is pleased to present this Spring Hook-In and Rug Show as a fund raiser for the 2011 ATHA Biennial to be held in Lancaster. The hook-in will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Lancaster Farm and Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Registration is $10 for advance registrations or $12 at the door. Space limited!
You are invited to come and enjoy an entire day devoted to rug hooking. We promise lots of vendors with beautiful wool and other hooking items. Bring a project to work on and a rug to put in our Rug Show. You can order a lunch or bring your own. There will be door prizes and surprises you will not want to miss. We look forward to seeing you there!
Guest Rug Show
Please bring one finished rug for the Rug Show. You can drop it off at the registration table and pick it up at the end of the day. There will be no judging.
Hook-In Mat Swap
Inspired by other hook-ins and on-line swaps, there will be an optional mat swap! You are encouraged to hook a 6 x 18" mat using any design. Your design will be swapped at random for another participant's mat. The mats will be on display during the day until the swap. The more mats we have to swap, the more fun it will be. So get hooking, and don't forget a label!
Even if you are unable to attend the hook-in, you are welcome to send a rug for the swap! Just mail your rug to Anne Stevens, 111 Forest Hill Road, Leola, PA 17540 and include a check for $5.00 to cover postage. Your rug will be entered in the swap, and we will mail you a rug after the hook-in is finished!
Special Raffle
A gorgeous hand-crafted hooking stand made from exotic woods along with a hexagonal frame from K's Creations will be raffled off during the afternoon. Tickets can be purchased with your registration or at the hook-in (see below for photo!).
