PRIMITIVES WITH LUCILLE FESTA

On April 3, 4, and 5, 2023, The Woolwrights had the good fortune to have our friend and teacher, Lucille Festa, come to Lancaster and share her knowledge and tips for primitive rug hooking.   Lucille was selected in 2022 as one of America's best in the directory of traditional American crafts in Early American Life.  Lucille explained to us the different types of primitive hooking.  She told us of how she chooses the different shades of each piece of wool that she uses in each rug to get the effect that she wants to make the most of her rugs.  Thank you to you, Lucille, for sharing your thoughts and talent in choosing colors, styles, and being a part of our experience for these few days.
