"March Into Spring" is our theme next year and we are inviting you to hook a rug with the theme of "March Into Spring".  Each registrant who submits a rug and brings 1/8th yard of new wool will receive $10 in vendor bucks which must be used the day of the hook-in.   The minimum size for the rug is 7" x 7" and maximum size is 20" x 20".  There will be a vote for the "People's Choice Award" for the "March Into Spring" rugs submitted and the winner will receive the entire basket of donated wool to take home.

If you have the winning ticket, you will win a Garden Basket filled to the brim with items, ie. garden gloves, hand tools, a pattern, primarily wool, and some surprises that  you can use to get your garden going in the spring!
Let us help you make the most of your flower gardens!

THE WOOL 'N GARDENER
JAN & FRED COLE

This year will mark the 9TH YEAR of The Wool’n Gardener vending at the Woolwrights Hook-In – definitely an honor for us and a cause for celebration!  We again will offer a large selection of luscious hand-dyed wools (and have some new colors dyed over new base wools), one-of-a-kind spot and sparkle dyes as well as other dyeing methods such as shiborhi and marbleized wools, a limited supply of one-of-a-kind of “silk tie” dyed pieces which could be used for either rug hooking or wool applique, and hand-dyed linen.  Of course, a full range of (ever-changing) colors will be available from the richest and deepest primitive palette to pastels – in between are those marvelous brights!!!!   To celebrate spring, we have expanded our pastel palette based upon the subtle colors of Roseville Pottery.  Be sure to rummage through the wool packages that might include several values of hand-dyed wools – and some mixed packages with hand-dyed and as-is wools.  And…don’t forget the “bargain basket” – I am continuing to reduce prices on wools from “stash” which I have acquired!   As before, we will also have a limited number of patterns some of which are adaptations of antique rugs owned by The Wool’n Gardener.
The ever-so-popular NAME THAT COLOR contest will once again be held.  The winner will be randomly selected from the entries and receive ½ yard of that newly named wool ($21.50 value)!
WOOLWRIGHTS HOOK-IN SPECIAL – All BLUE hand-dyed ¼ yd pieces will be offered at $10.00 each.

Tulip door/wall hanging and the Old Barn Rug hit ‘n miss pattern which is a great piece for all your “noodles” and odds and ends – the pattern now comes in two sizes – 25 squares and 9 squares!  Lastly, by request and new for 2019, we will stock full 1 yd. pieces of dyed wool – great for backgrounds – which shows the true effect of the mottling!
