MAT SWAP CHALLENGE FOR 2016
We are going in an interesting direction for the
2016 Mat Swap Challenge!
It's all about FOOD!
Yes.... F-O-O-D!
Hook a mat with your favorite or even least favorite food!
What do you dream about? Is it sweet or sour? Is it round and in layers with chocolate ganache dripping down the sides? Is it cake?! Is it cold and creamy? Or do you grow it in your garden? Is it salty or crunchy?
Does it include peanut butter in the recipe? What is it???
Your mat should be no larger than 120 square inches and it must be labeled on the back. We can't wait to see the array of foods spread out on our table next year!!
RUG SHOW - Bring your favorite rugs to show everyone! Labels will be available at the hook-in to attach to your rugs. Let's make this another great rug show!

We will have a wide selection of textured wools. There are many plaids, stripes, "heathered" solids to choose from. We specialize in having wool made for the creative fiber artist. These wools work beautifully in hooked rugs, wool applique, quilting, doll making and clothing. Along with our selection of wools there will be patterns. Included among our designs we will have patterns from Hooked on the Creek.

I will also have some exciting new patterns for your nimble rug hooking fingers and will be offering a show special of 10% off of my personal patterns. Can't wait for Spring and to see all of you at the Woolwrights Hook-in!!!

The Wool’n Gardener will be offering a large selection of new hand-dyed wool as well as over-dyed recycled wool. New colors are added each year and range from the richest and deepest primitive palette to pastels – in between are those marvelous brights!!!! We will be using some new base wools which have produced some incredible variations of colors. Since we had a wonderful response to our primitive pastel palette based on Roseville colors last year, we have expanded the palette for 2016 to include even more beautiful, subtle, soft pastels in almost every color! The Wool’n Gardener will also be offering one-of-a-kind spot and sparkle dyes as well as other dyeing methods such as shiborhi and marbleized wools. Wool packages will again be available which include several values of all hand-dyed wools – and some will include hand-dyed and as-is wools (some of which may be from my “vintage” stash). Other items for sale will be natural and hand-dyed uncarded wool and patterns by The Wool’n Gardener.

Gary specializes in sterling silver jewelry pendants. Each piece is hand crafted and is a process of how I'm led to match a shape to a design. Sheep dollars use pre-1900 dollars, and the sheep are cast in sterling silver using a mold I designed and own. I use silver solder to attach the sheep, and each one comes with a rolled Grecco leather 18 inch necklace and each one is handcrafted by me.
