WOOLWRIGHTS SHOW & TELL OF 2024
July 12, 2024 - This was a hot summer day with just the right amount of rain to make a cloud of humidity, but we came together, heat, humidity, rain showers and all. We had a smaller group today as people are vacationing and maybe some just did not want to venture out in the heat. The Woolwrights membership unanimously approved the revised version of the 2024 Woolwrights Bylaws and there were plans discussed for upcoming events. Connie gave a great description and invitation to members who might be interested in participating with the Multicolores Rug Hooking Group in Guatemala and shared the time she and Leanne adventured south. There was a great variety of rugs, laughter, and stories that made this another good day!

June 14, 2024 - We are beginning to get into the real summer days here in Woolwrights country. It was a beautiful day and few drops fell towards the end of the meeting, but it was a good Flag Day meeting. New officers were introduced, ie. Deb Burcin, President, Kelle Stork & Jean Kelley, Co-Vice Presidents, Marsha Majors & Sue Copenhaver, Co-Secretaries, Suzanne White, Treasurer, and Marsha Shirk, Membership Chair. And..... of course, it takes more than these people to make up our group. Thank you again to past officers for their work in keeping our group going through some tough days and times. Happy Flag Day!
Today, We had everything you could imagine in rugs from bugs in the rug, a fox, birds, Santa, a turkey that had to leave early, cats, beautiful scenes of landscape, roses, and memories in our hearts of past members and family who had a part in some of our rugs.

May 10, 2024 - The Woolwrights had a great meeting today despite the rainy weather. We had a room full of our members with some we have not seen in a while and also, a new member and another potential. This was our day for election of new officers for the 2024 through 2026 term. We want to thank Magbis and Margaret for being our president and vice-president for the last two years. Deb Burcin will be the president and our co-vice presidents will be Kelle Stork and Jean Kelly.
Rugs were photographed for the "Family" theme in the upcoming ATHA Magazine and Leanne brought a beautiful portrait of her husband, Lee, who she sadly lost in the last year. Leanne had memories of bringing wool up to Lee to see if the wool was just the right shade to match his face and he so enjoyed the process and the final portrait that Leanne had hooked for him. Joyce brought rugs that she hooked with her dog, Gabe, and a rug with the feet and hands of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
